I’m looking to buy a used car listed at 82.5k. I offered the salesman 79k. he gave me a very cold “don’t bother coming in”. I was hoping he would counteroffer and we’d land somewhere at 80k. I didn’t think what I was asking was too steep of a discount. I found the same car with the same options/miles on the other side of the country. The window sticker is 99% identical to the one across the country having like $100 more for some paint protection. The only difference is the color (white vs blue).
