My questions are as follows: To what extent are franchised dealers independent from the brand they represent, such as Vauxhall or Ford? I suppose, technically speaking, they’re independently owned and operated, but pretty much have to procure their stock and services from the brand. Are they tied into offering the brand’s credit facilities to prospective customers, or can they be a credit broker for multiple lenders?
