I’m trying to understand an old AutoCheck history entry for a car I’m considering buying. On 08/30/1995 the report shows: TX — Auto Auction — Junk Vehicle OK — Motor Vehicle Dept. — Salvage TX — Auto Auction — Salvage The important part is that the “Junk Vehicle” entry appears only under Auto Auction. The Motor Vehicle Department records show Salvage, not Junk. Later the car continued to receive titles and registrations, and AutoCheck shows “No Accidents or Damage Reported” in the accident/damage section. Could “Junk Vehicle” have been an auction-only classification, mistake, or temporary entry that was later corrected to Salvage? Or does an Auto Auction — Junk Vehicle…
