Can I shorten or get out of my lease agreement?

Long story short: we migrated to the US (temporarily – ie 3-4 year stay).
When we arrived I didn’t have 70K in the bank, nor did I have a credit score.

So we ended up using Volkswagen’s “expat lease program”. Basically it just means they’ll provision a regular lease agreement without having credit score. I signed up for. 36 month lease deal for an Atlas Crosssport.

Now we’ve been in the US for about 15 months. I have a good credit score and my heart is longing for a more American car (Bronco, F150, Tundra, orso).

Is there a way I could get out of the lease contract, oe make a swap?
