I recently bought a new Subaru from a dealership in California. During the finance process, I was told multiple times that I could only get the advertised 0% APR if I purchased an extended warranty and several additional protection products. I specifically said I did not want those products. The finance manager basically told me that I could either pay money to the bank as interest, or spend that money on the warranty/add-ons and at least get something for it.
