I have been helping someone recently purchase a vehicle, and in doing so I have, at 4 seperate dealerships under 4 different networks, encountered this exact same thing. I ask for OTD pricing on the vehicle, the salesman gets the paperwork and shows me. I push back in some way on the pricing (dealer fee, warranty, typical stuff), and the salesman gets the sales manager. sales manager proceeds to explain that he is completely unable to reduce the price because the “new AI pricing system” makes it so he literally can not do so.
