Long story short, I have inherited a Tahoe in good condition with good mileage. I don’t need that big of a car and want to get a Toyota or Honda hybrid car. I took the Tahoe to Chevy and they offered me $38k outright to buy it or trade it in. (Carvana offered $36,400)
Is it realistic to think that Toyota or Honda will match that offer, or at least get close enough to make it worth my while? I have a picture of the offer.
ChatGPT gave me a whole dramatic rundown of how to “drop the mic” on them by waiting to show the offer I’ve already received after we look at the cars and work out a price.
What’s the best way to approach it? I got the offer from Chevy this morning and I’m car shopping at Toyota and Honda tomorrow.
