Massachusetts dealer temp plate with a foreign license as an out-of-state buyer?

Has anyone recently bought a car from a Massachusetts dealer as an out-of-state resident using a foreign driver’s license?

I’m moving to NY and have an Indonesian license, IDP, passport, I-94, SSN, NY address, and NY insurance. I want to use MA’s 15-day nonresident temp plate and drive the car to NY.

Did the dealer/RMV accept your foreign license? Could you drive off the same day?
