I’m selling my used car privately and recently had someone interested in buying it. They asked to have a PPI done, and I agreed as long as they paid for the inspection themselves. I had already paid for and provided a Carfax report and allowed them to see the car in person. At the time of the inspection, and before I agreed to have the PPI done, we had not finalized a sale.
