I bought a new/used car, and I traded in my old vehicle towards it. They gave me the option to transfer the plate over to the new vehicle, and told me that when the temp tag expires, to just put the plate onto the new vehicle. So my question is. Do I have to keep insurance on the old vehicle during all this? or can I drop the insurance for it since the tag is being transferred to the new vehicle? I can not get a straight answer anywhere.
