“Today-Only” deal

Car salesman was nice until it gets to deal time. Would you find this pushiness unacceptable?

Text from salesman:

“Just being candid with you, I gave you every option I could today because we had an extra $2,500–$3,000 available from our parent company for today only. I can’t hold or extend that money.

You planned to come back with your wife, then decided not to. I also offered to have you bring the trade back, finalize everything, and secure the car with $1,000, which you passed on.

No hard feelings at all. Come see me next week and I’ll take care of you, I just can’t guarantee today’s deal or the car. Ball’s in your court, my friend. Just let me know if you got your back either way!”
