Hello, I’m trying to get a warranty refund for a used car I purchased. The dealership has told me the check will be made out to the company that held the loan. I have read online that this isn’t uncommon; however, I paid the car loan off over a year ago. I have sent a paid in full letter of confirmation to the dealership and they’ve acknowledged that there is no lien on the title. They are still insisting on sending the check to the finance company, however, and have told me the finance company should then forward it to me.
