Looking at two basically identical Camry XSEs at the same dealer. Same options and sticker within like $200 of each other. One is incoming and the other has been sitting there for a while and has around 170 miles on it from test drives. I told the salesman I preferred the incoming one and suddenly they offered $1,500 more for my trade if I take the one already there. They aren’t calling it a discount though. Price of the Camry stays exactly the same, they just raise my trade value. I’m more curious why a dealer would structure it this way. Is there some advantage to showing more money on…
