Standard vehicle transfer policy – Sonic dealership

Hi folks, I found a used BMW iX that matches all of my requirements but it’s located in Colorado (I live near Portland, OR). I contacted the dealership and they said they charge $1 per mile and can deliver the vehicle to me, but I have to travel to the nearest Sonic dealership (which is in Idaho) to sign papers in person. Is that a typical arrangement, and would I have any issues taking the vehicle to a non-Sonic BMW sales/service location for repairs (there’s one much closer than Idaho).
