What are specific things to look for when buying a used car?

Im going to buy a car soon and I’d like to know if there’s anything essential I should know about when I start looking that everyone should know. Most I know is: Ask if it has a clean title, check to see if anything has been replaced, check for uneven tires…but that’s all I have for questioning and checking.
