Dealer didn’t pay off my trade-in — now I’m being threatened with repossession

I traded in my Mercedes C300 on April 23 at Victory Mitsubishi for a BMW X3 M40i. I was the sole owner/borrower on the Mercedes, and the dealership was supposed to pay off the remaining loan as part of the trade. It’s now been months and they still haven’t paid it off. The lender is now warning me that the Mercedes may be repossessed, even though the dealership has had possession of the car since April. I also don’t have the original trade-in paperwork.
